Whether We Win or Lose it Ultimately is our Abilities and Attitudes that Decide. Strategy of Darting _____________________________________________________________________ 601 and 301 First let me state that this is my opinion of what I learned and what has worked for me in my darting outings. I will assume you are familiar with the basics of these games. Of course you must double on and double off in this game. Shoot at the numbers your most comfortable with for double. Whether its the 20 the 15 the 1 or the double Bull. If you have confidence in that number and have hit it consistently by all means go for it ! ! After you have hit your double on and are now counting up your numbers and counting it down shoot at the numbers that you like the most 20's 19's whatever. If you find (like we all have experienced from time to time) that these number have given us the occasional three dart total of 7 or 9 or you just feel your aim is off try the triple 14. With the 11 and 9 around it your average per three darts will increase a bit. Once you get that confidence back go back to your original numbers. Once you get to the point that your score is 170 or under ....... Look at the Out Chart ! Any questions on as to what you should throw at .....step off the line and ask your teammates ! Any questions on what you have scored ask the scorekeeper and then count yourself ! ! You Are Responsible for the Accuracy of your Score ! ! ! The Out Chart always gives you your best chances to complete and win the game. I like the double 16 to be left with because if you miss and hit the single 16 you still have the 8 to double out on then the 4 to the 2 and finally the dreaded 1. This versus say the 19, you miss and hit a single 19 or any odd number now you have to expend an additional dart to bring yourself to another out shot. Once again If you really have confidence in that number and have hit it consistently by all means go for it. Odd number left odd number needed to bring you to an out shot. Overall game Strategy...... On Quick ..... Out Quick ... throw steady darts.... You Will Do Well ! Have Confidence in your Ability ! ! Practice Tip ...... Hit all the doubles on the dartboard.. If your left with a number you don't care for ..... you may have to shoot it anyway. Good Darting and Good Luck........ _____________________________________________________________________ Cricket Once again let me state that this is my opinion of what I learned and what has worked for me in my darting outings. I will assume you are familiar with the basics of this game. To start the game whoever is better at the bulls shoot the bull. Its nice to be first to shoot at your numbers. If your successful it does puts some pressure on the other team to do as well as you've done. Continue to close out your numbers including the bulls. Now we will get into points in the game....... I like to use the strategy that if you can't close a particular number with a single dart in your hand then shoot for the points if available. Always watch the scoring board make sure what you need to close and what if any are available for pointing (nothing worse than to close a number and shoot for points only to find they closed them last time around ).Talk to your partner and strategize what your shots will be depending on what shots have been taken. Sometimes you may be behind in the points and may choose to close the number you have been pointed on, especially if they are hammering the %$#! out of you. This is a decision that is made depending upon many factors and should be discussed with your partner and teammates. Remember you must have that point edge regardless ........ to enable your team to win the game. You may stop pointing when you feel that you have enough of a point lead that will allow you to win the game, this is a decision that is made depending upon many factors and should be discussed with your partner and teammates. You Are Responsible for the Accuracy of your Score ! ! ! Again...........Have Confidence in your Ability ! ! Practice Tip ...... Hit the triple 20's 19's 18's 17's 16's 15's on the dartboard.. and Lots at the Bulls eye ! Good Darting and Good Luck........_____________________________________________________________________ Win Or Lose..................
